Project Glass by Google

Google has announced Project Glass , a technology-in-development that will allow users to wear Android-based display glasses to stream information right in front of their eyes. A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We're sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.

150 Rupee Indian Coin

For the first time in the country's minting history, government will issue coins of Rs. 150, marking the number of years of taxation in India. The special coins, to be released by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee before his Budget speech, will also be brought out in Rs. 5 denomination on the occasion of completion of 150 years, from 1860 to 2010, of the Income Tax department. The Rs. 150 coin, made of an alloy of Silver, Copper, Nickel and Zinc, will have an international design with 'Satyameva Jayate' and 'India' on the front side while a portrait of 'Chanakya and lotus with honeybee' on the reverse side.  

Floating Cinema

  Where do you go when you want to watch the latest flicks but are miles away from the nearest town or cinema? You build a floating cinema of course, and that's what has happened here on the rocky shoreline of Yao Noi, Thailand. The Archipelago Cinema which literally floats on water. Thankfully the waters around the shoreline are very calm and smooth so you'll be able to sit in peace watching your film. A previously unseen photograph of Princess Diana and her sons taken by society photographer Lord Snowdon made a surprise appearance on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow on Apr. 2.  

Admiring Africa !!

Africa is the world's second-largest and second-most-populous continent, after Asia. It covers 20.4% of the total land area. and with 1.0 billion people (as of 2009, see table), it accounts for about 14.72% of the world's human population. Africa boasts perhaps the world's largest combination of density and range of freedom of wild animal populations and diversity, with wild populations of large carnivores (such as lions, hyenas, and cheetahs) and herbivores (such as buffalo, elephants, camels, and giraffes) ranging freely on primarily open non-private plains. It is also home to a variety of jungle animals including snakes and primates and aquatic life such as crocodiles and amphibians.
