Sleep to remember those special moments

When I was a kid my parents used to told me to sleep less and study more. But I can afford to study, as I love to sleep. When I was in 12th standard, I used to sleep around ten hours in exmas. And I do feel comfortable when I wake up, I guess sleeping more helps me more in memorising things much better. Now, yesterday when I was reading a article on sleep, I realise that I am right as sleeping helps in remebering things much better. Sleep plays a key role in determining what we remeber and forget by helping the brain preserves memories that evoke the greatest emotional resonance while filtering out neutral details. The study also says that "In order to preserve what it deems most important, the brain makes a tradeoff, strengthening the memory's emotional core and obscuring its neutral background."
So sleeping more not only helps in memorising things but also helps in forgeting bad memories, and also its very beneficial for the health too. But its also true that anything which is done more than the normal requirement may cause adverse effect. So sleep regularly for an average of eight hours. Since todays youth is not spending much time on their bedrooms, they might be in trouble as this is going to some how affect their brain. So sleep well.
