Established in 1991 and registered as 100% Export Oriented Unit with Software Technology Parks of India, Department of Electronics, Govt. of India, New Delhi, we are an ISO 9001:2000 certified company with expertise in Software, Hardware development and Systems Integration.

Our company was incorporated on September 15, 1991 as a private limited company with the object of designing, developing, installing and maintaining software packages for domestic and international markets. We are registered as 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) with Software Technology Parks of India, Department of Electronics, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Kernex Microsystems (India) has developed a strong managerial and technical team with proven capability in executing projects in difficult railway routes including the Konkan Railways and North Eastern Frontier Railways. The data acquisition and technological development skill have put the company at an advantage to develop safe and convenient products applicable for the logistic and transportation industries.

The company started developing Railway Safety systems from 1999 and successfully developed and demonstrated a prototype of ACDs to Konkan Railway Corporation Limited and Members of the Railway Safety Board. The only player in anti-collision devices for the Railways is set to capitalise on the public sector transporter’s thrust on ‘safety’.

After sales and installation of ACDs commenced, Kernex Microsystems (India)’s sales and profit surged in FY 2005. Sales jumped 342% to Rs 52.56 crore and net profit was higher by 289% to Rs 8.95 crore. In the five months ending August 2005, sales and net profit stood at Rs 19.91 crore and Rs 6.24 crore, respectively.

Kernex Microsystems (India) (KERNEX) is engaged mainly in the business of manufacturing, installing and maintaining anti-collision devices (ACDs) and systems. It was incorporated on Sep. 16, 1991 as a private limited company and converted into a public limited company on Jun. 30, 2000.

Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited has informed the Exchange that the Board, at its meeting held on June 18, 2009 has recommended a dividend @ 10% on equity share of Rs. 10/- (Rs. 1/- per share) each for the year ended March 31, 2009 subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.
Financials:

  • Kernex Microsystems (India) registered a 16.45% growth in net profit to Rs 14.02 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from a profit of Rs 12.04 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
  • Net sales rose 5.88% to Rs 58.9 million for the quarter ended December 2007 from Rs 55.63 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
  • Total income dipped 1.54%, to Rs 70.26 million from Rs 71.36 million for the quarter ended December 2006.
  • The earnings per share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 1.12 for the quarter ended December 2007.
Kernex has embarked an expansion scheme with modern infrastructure to employ over 1000 software professionals comprising R&D, Product and Project Development and execution, and Onsite Consultancy Services backed up by efficient HRD activity.

Its overseas operations are planned to go on full stream through its wholly owned subsidiary and onsite offices at strategic nodal points, in USA and Europe.
