Job opening in Pune startup company : Senior Network Security Linux Appliance Engineer

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         The primary focus will be to product development on a product which delivers network security, visibility and control services delivered as a Linux appliance

·         Working in a small team to contribute to the software development life cycle of new features, this includes estimating, scoping, writing functional specs, implementing, and completing developer level testing 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

·         Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills

·         Understands that you find the right tool for the job not just use the tool you know best – and therefore has an insatiable curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies

·         Significant experience with embedded Linux application development

·         Extensive knowledge of C / C++ / STL

·         Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and all things networking - Expert in Multi-threaded programming / pthreads
·         Good understanding of Linux signal handling, IPTables, Netfilter

·         Experience building and optimizing Linux kernels and distributions

·         Working knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL, SQLite, or other embedded DB technology)

·         Understanding of network security products (e.g. Firewalls, Web Security Gateways, etc)

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Education: B.E / B.Tech / MCA

Experience:  5+ years

China vs India: Sikkim border conflict between India and China in 1967

Image Source: Google Images I am pretty sure its hard to believe, but its true, that India has offered 800 sheep and 59 yaks to China. 1962 war with China will remain in the memories of most of the Indians. Although China was not able to gain any strategic advantage after the war. Hence China keeps on waiting or rather creating these small issues to take advantage out of them. For this China opened another front in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, but they did not find any reason to start any conflict with India in these reasons. Then comes this missing flock of 800 sheep and 59 yaks besides the allegations of territorial incursions. This let to the build-up Sikkim border conflict between India and China in 1967. This is what China was looking for since 1962 war. Exchanges between the two governments dating back to 1965 reveal that China accused Indian troops of stealing the flock of animals from Tibetan herdsmen
