Where do you see India in coming 10 years?

I believe that we have all elements to take India to a super power status. I am sure that India will be an economic super power in coming 10 years.

· There are three pillars of economy

o Agriculture

o Services

o Manufacturing

· All these are interested and interdependent and an effect on one has a cascading effect on the other.

· Talking About agriculture:-

65% of Indian population is dependent on agriculture, to develop this 65% population, we decided to enhance the agriculture growth from 2% to 4% in the 11th five year plan. We have achieved third target by June-09. To maintain it in 2009-10, the 1st general budget of 15th Lok Sabha, our F.M. Mr. P. Mukharji announced an increased budget allocation of Rs 3,25,000 Cr as against Rs 2,87,000 Cr in the previous budget, also 500 mobile soil testing laboratory, cartostate satellite specially for agriculture to boost agricultural growth. Despite contributing 19% to the GDP, also was second largest grainery of the World. The moment, we will give more emphasis on this sector, the production will boost and we will be able to feed the international community and will earn huge revenue.

· SAARC and BIMSTEC countries have already urged and paid India to establish food bank for them. This will help Indian farmer to grow more & sell, thereby improving their status. This will also have direct impact on the other two sector. i.e. agriculture and services without, we understand that the grain demanding would better relations with our country.

· Also to uplift these 65% population, Indian government is ----- a plathora i.e. Flagship Schemes. In the general budget 2009-10, the flagship schemes have been allotted humongous amount of money.

· In Services sector, we have established bilateral trade ties with 13 countries amounting of $ 300 Bn in 2008, to be completed by 2010.

· Despite the effect of global economic recession, India has only slowdown and is still maintaining a growth of 6.7% of GDP. India has no dearth of liquidity for any mega project. To further reduce the slow down, the Govt has announced to reduce the excise duty up to 3% for export by general budget 2009-10.

· So as to fulfill our energy requirement, India has signed the civil nuclear co-operation with 04 countries (USA, France, Australia, Kazakhistan).

· We understand that illiteracy is the mother of all problems. To boost the literacy rate from 65% to 85%, we have given impetus to our educational system. Honorable HRD minister Mr. Kapil Sibal had tried to standardize the entire education system. In this general budget 2009-10, Rs 2800 Cr per year for 14 proposed national universities for research and development. So in future India id going to become the hub of R&D.

· In space technology India has become the member of elite group.

· And to bring the illiteracy rate to zero, in 11th five year plan , 30 new universities in which 16 with broad band connectivity, 370 new colleges for rural areas, 08 new IITs, 07 IIMs, 05 IIS, 44,000 primary schools, 1500 I.T.I and 1100 polytechnic schools have been planned.

· India is already leading in IT sector in the world.

· To boost infrastructure Govt is seeking public- private partnership in telecommunication, power generation, airport, ports roads and railways. To boost the rural infrastructure we are going to construct all wealth roads, provide electricity & clean drinking water, houses for B.P.L and slum free to every corner. In this general budget 2009-10, Rs 27,800 Cr for Bharat Nirman comprising of Rs 12,000 Cr for P.M.G.S.Y (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana), Rs 7,000 crore for R.G.G.V.Y (Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidutikaran Yojana), Rs 8,800 crore for I.A.Y (Indira Gandhi awas Yojana) have been allotted and for the development of urban areas ant to make slumfree, Rs 12,887 crore have been allotted under J.N.N.U.R.M.(Jawahar Lal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission).

· Geographically India is situated at centre of BIMSTEC and SAARC countries and controlling 18 countries through SAARC, BIMSTEC and ASEAN countries, also controlling ¼ part of world market.

That is why I am saying that India will become an economic super power in coming 10 years.

Image Source: Google Images I am pretty sure its hard to believe, but its true, that India has offered 800 sheep and 59 yaks to China. 1962 war with China will remain in the memories of most of the Indians. Although China was not able to gain any strategic advantage after the war. Hence China keeps on waiting or rather creating these small issues to take advantage out of them. For this China opened another front in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, but they did not find any reason to start any conflict with India in these reasons. Then comes this missing flock of 800 sheep and 59 yaks besides the allegations of territorial incursions. This let to the build-up Sikkim border conflict between India and China in 1967. This is what China was looking for since 1962 war. Exchanges between the two governments dating back to 1965 reveal that China accused Indian troops of stealing the flock of animals from Tibetan herdsmen
