Setting multiple home pages in mozilla

I love to be online most of the time, and I have some favorite sites as well which I used to visit on regular basis. When I open my Mozilla browser I need to open my favorite sites. To open my favorite sites I need to type, though I knew that Mozilla remembers history, but because of the performance measures of the Mozilla I clear the cache, cookies and history every week as a maintenance. So, a new week seems to be a very frustrating when I have to type for all those favorite sites. Since my most of favorite sites include those sites which loads very fast. So, I searched on net for the solution and I have come across many solutions for the same thing. The one solutions which impressed me is setting multiple home pages. And thus I get to know how to set multiple home pages, but for this try setting low number of sites as multiple pages as more number of sites take longer time to load. Yahoo messenger : a new look

New yahoo messenger is awesome, as far as looks are concerned, also it is a bit faster than the previous yahoo messengers. There are few things which I love the most, first of all the colors which we can choose according to your choice wcich suits you the most. Have a look There is a circular button on the right top bar of the yahoo messenger from where you can choose any color theme you like. There are some lovely color shades available on this yahoo messenger. As I love dark colors, so I use Mystic Black color theme. Light color themes are also available, so you can opt them too. One of the most lovely feature I like is you can disable the sign out option on your mobile. As once I registered my mobile to get offline alerts directly to my mobile when I am offline on yahoo messenger, and available on SMS. But this becomes hectic to me, as whenever I signout of yahoo I directly loggen in on my mobile through SMS. But now the receiving SMS limit ended and I don't get any of...

Chrome : simply best

Some of the posts in this threads seems to be very diplomatic and unhonest. I don't know why they wrote so.. but I really find them funny to judge about the googles new browser Chrome and others. Firefox is very good for windows vista users.... but its Mac OS verson is not as good as Safari by Apple. First for your confusion we should take. I think most of you still use IE7 and if you r happy with that, then there is no need to go for other one.. It all depends upon your need. Chrome Vs IE8 Both of these explorer are in beta verson and Google Chrome is good for its simplicity but IE 8 is some better in functionality. I am writing it because I had spent some time on Javascripts for such browsers. 1. Speed In speed, both are good... but i definitely like Chrome as its basic interface shows a Web address bar, back and forward buttons, a refresh button and two menus, one for tools and another to handle items such as creating new tabs, new windows and copying and pasting. (By way of c...

Work on chrome with keyboard shortcuts

It all we know that logging in on google application with chrome is faster than compared to other browser, also this is for sure that google keep on updating its services so early, so they might able to compete with other browser present. Hope so that googles chrome come out to be great browser with some better things for us. Here’s what works: For tab navigation, you’ll use Ctrl+T to create a new tab, Ctrl+1 or Ctrl+2 (etc.) to switch tabs (or Ctrl+Page Up/Ctrl+Page Down), Ctrl+W to close a tab, and Ctrl+Shift+T to re-open a tab you just closed. Ctrl+L still jumps you up to the location bar (called an “omnibox” in Google Chrome parlance). Ctrl+R or F5 reloads the page. (And Ctrl+R or Ctrl+F5 forces a reload.) For navigation, Alt+Home goes to the home page and you can use Alt+Left Arrow and Alt+Right Arrow (or Backspace and Shift+Backspace) to go back or forward a page in your history. Ctrl+B toggles on/off the bookmark bar. Ctrl+D still sets a bookmark. Ctrl+J opens a download tab. Ct...

First letter of email address decides quantum of spam

How much spam you get depends on the first letter in your email address, A Cambridge study reveals. Analysis of more than 500 millions junk messages has found that addresses that began with more common letters were likely to receive 40 per cent of their mail from spammers. Those starting with less common letters, by contrast, would receive less than a fifth of their mail as spam. According to the study, if the first part of an email address (that part before '@' symbol) starts with a J, A, U, R, P, M, or S, then it is likely to get proportionately twice as much junk email sent to it than an email address begining with Q, Z, W, Y or F. Even I tested this I checked my freinds emails, and find a friend with email address begining with letter 'Z', I checked his junk box and compared the number of the mails those with the number of emails in my junk box, and found that I had more such emails as my emial address starts with letter 'P'. The study didnot draw conclusion...

Google's Chrome : A doorway to web

In the ongoing war for Internet users' eyes and wallets, search giant Google on Tuesday unveiled a shiny new Web browser that it hopes will lure users away from Microsoft's Internet Explorer — and bolster Google's lucrative online advertising and applications business as well. Google Chrome will be free, open source and, at least for the time being, limited to Windows users. A beta version for Windows should be available for testing early Tuesday afternoon. Google says that it’s already hard at work on Mac and Linux versions, but hasn’t offered a timeline for either. Chrome is a browser built to empower web applications. It features a new approach to page rendering that isolates web applications inside each of the browser’s tabs — a crashing web app might cause a single tab to crash, but that won’t affect anything outside that tab. The rest of the browser remains stable. Today I also downlaoded chrome and checked it, and finds that it ahs some great features. More stable a...

Speed up Mozilla Firefox about 3-30x Faster !!

There was a article in my google reader related to speeding up the uploading speed of Mozilla Firefox. It was from some Marshal. I treid that but din't experience much out of that, may be as I have lesser speed, so this might be the reason I din't experience that much as mentioned in the article. But I do notice a small change in that. If you feel like trying it, and notice something great out of this please let me know. I am mentioning the steps for you all. 1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scrolldown and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which reallyspeeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Se...

Firewalls

Firewalls are important, especially when using a peer-to-peer program like BearFlix, and although being behind a firewall doesn't prevent you from sharing to everyone (you can still upload files to some people), firewalls can still be a hindrance for you and other users. It is almost impossible to establish a direct connection with another firewalled computer. Consequently, firewalled users will be unable to download files from you, and you'll be unable to download files from other firewalled users. You will see their files as "Unreachable" when you're firewalled, and that is exactly how other firewalled users see your files. Therefore, if at all possible, it is important to get rid of your firewalled status for sharing purposes.

Let me tell you some think about this.I dont know about this topic much butas far as our books tell me I get to know some things and I am today going to share themwith you all.
