Change in Technology

Have you ever thought, "how much technololy changed us?" I guess many of us everyday thinks about this. But it matters what do you think about this issue. Everyday, there was some or the other news from the hardware gaint Japan, about the launch of any harware product, it might be a watch or a mini robot and etc. These devices are proves beneficial for us. These days you have LCD's at your homes instead of those big TC screens, Pocket slim cellphones instead of those heavy handsets and many more such slimmer things replaced the older ones. Everyone looks for lighter things, as they are easy to cared off. When I enter a PC store, I can't stop my self from reviwing the thinnest notebook from Apple. These hardware things are going slim day by day, but what happened to the human beings, they are gaining wait day by day. Is the weight loss by those harware device are gained by humans. Number of these devices increasing on a large scale, so the number of fat peoples. This ...

The Washer man and the Foolish Donkey

Have you heard the story of "The Washer man and the Foolish Donkey"? To refresh your memory, and for the benefit of those who have not grown up listening to this moral story, it goes like this… There was once a washer man who had a donkey and a dog. One night when the whole world was sleeping, a thief broke into the house, the washer man was fast asleep but the donkey and the dog were awake. The dog decided not to bark since the master did not take good care of him and wanted to teach him a lesson. The donkey got worried and said to the dog that if he doesn't bark, the donkey will have to do something himself. The dog did not change his mind and the donkey started braying loudly. Hearing the donkey bray, the thief ran away, the master woke up and started beating the donkey for braying in the middle of the night for no reason. Moral of the story "One must not engage in duties other than his own" Now take a new look at the same story… The washer man ( J ) was a we...

On the small wheels

Have you ever spotted an overweight cyclist? Chances are you haven't. As cycling was considered to be one of the best exercise after jogging. And for the persons who daily go to office doing jogging regularly is not that easy. But still there are many people who used to run daily. The working bachelors hardly get time for daily exercise because of the work load, as most of the bachelors under the age group of 20-25 years had just started working under big names to make their career. The work load on them hardly allows them to think about workouts.Still there are persons manage to make such schedules those are full of workouts, and instead of those workloads one must plan your schedules in such a way that nei affect your working time and you get a sufficient time for workouts. After reading this one might think to ride a bicycle everyday to reach the office, but this was just possible in dreams, as the city roads evrywhere are full of traffic and pollution. There are some people wh...

Impact of divide and rule

As I heard from my ancestors, also read some articles reagrding this either in newspapers or in magzines, all says that there was a time when Hindus and Muslims lived together happily. But the British policy of 'Divide and Rule' had a great impact on this Indian society, even one could easily sense this till today. The British used their policy in every county to rule them. But the effect may not be seen in those countries till today. But, as far as India is concerned, its a different case. Already a nation divided in three different parts, and all based on religious issues. 1947 partision is based on the religion. A communal violence across the India happened on the eve of independence in 1947. Not only the day of India's Independence, but each day there is either a small or a big news about such things flashes on television screens, or printed in black letters. What happened to the people of India, as more than 70% of the Indian people are literate, then also they don...

A bachelor's tragedy

When any bachelor is invited by some girl for the first time on dinner, he used to prepare himself and don't let anything to be missed. But their may occur some circumstances that he might not expecting them to occur. Here is a nice story about a bachelor going to his girlfriends house for the dinner. A young man goes into a pharmacy and asks the pharmacist: 'Hello, couldYou give me condom. My girlfriend has invited me for dinner and I think She is expecting something from me! 'The pharmacist gives him the condom; and as the young man is going out,He returns and tells him: 'Give me another condom because myGirlfriend's' sister is very cute too. She always crosses her legs in a Provocative manner when she sees me and I think she expects somethingFrom me too.' The pharmacist gives him a second condom; And as the boy is leaving he turns back and says: After all, give me oneMore condom because my girlfriend's mom is still pretty cute and when She sees me she...

The real way of playing chess

As most of the bachelors love to drink. But drinking in the same way everyday made anyone bore of doing that. Once you are addicted to drinking you cannot afford to miss a single day without drinking. So try exploring some new things that makes you feel better. If you do a same thing everyday, but in a different way, you'll never get bore of doing that. After watching Fifty first dates, one may get a idea of this. But doing a thing in such a way is awesome one. I was going through my mails today and found a pic that made me think so much of doing things in such a way that one can never get bore of doing anything. Always try to do new things out of the same boring ones. Many people used to play chess, some of them even bet for a drink on their win. But seriously playing chess this way is really awesome. Even I also tried playing chess, this way but it prooves to be tough job for me to arrange some glasses. But after arranging glasses, I found it a interesting one. Some of my friends...

Crazy Canadian Girl

Today while I was surfing on internet, I saw a picture that make me think on some issues. Before I move further to tell you about some of the issues that come to my mind after viewing this picture in flicker. Have a look, you might also think a lot after looking at the picture. Look at the tatto on the back of this crazy canadian girl. Might be she unaware of this symbol, what it is meant for most of Indians. That symbol is a mystical or sacred syllable in the Hindu, Jain and Buddhist religions. Many guys commented on the picture also. Might be this girl is unaware of the threat she might face from Hindu leaders or the Hindu societies. If anyone of the members find this, they might create an issue. Or she might face a critisism from most of the news channels, as they got a news that people love to she. They can create this as a big issue and that may help them to improve their TRP. As its a sacred symbol for most of the religions in Indian sub-continent, so most of the people from her...

Speed up Mozilla Firefox about 3-30x Faster !!

There was a article in my google reader related to speeding up the uploading speed of Mozilla Firefox. It was from some Marshal. I treid that but din't experience much out of that, may be as I have lesser speed, so this might be the reason I din't experience that much as mentioned in the article. But I do notice a small change in that. If you feel like trying it, and notice something great out of this please let me know. I am mentioning the steps for you all. 1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scrolldown and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which reallyspeeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Se...

My Kitchen Experience.!!

Since last three month I am living in a flat with two other friends. We are searching for a lady who make some quality food for us, and the taste we have. As we all three are from north India, we din't find her. We appointed two ladies also for the very same job, but not satisfied with the taste of thier food. We decide to have both lunch and dinner outside, but its a very costly affair and we can't afford it, so dropped that idea. After that we all three decided two cook food on ourselves. I couldn't imagine about this, as I hardly know anything about cooking. But out of us, one Ankit (changed name) , know a bit about cooking. He daily used to teach something to both of us. We both jus help him to make food, neither of us directly involve in cooking. For first few days we live up on maggi. But after some days we all need something else as we all tired of having maggi every time. Now after few days we start making food own our own. The very first day when I was assigned a t...

Are you a third wheel?

Recently I watch a movie named, de taali, it was a movie of three friends who are very close to each other, two of them are guys and the third one is a girl, Ayesha Takia. The girl loved one of the guy and the other one is helping her to get closer to her dearest one. After watching the movies I thought being a third wheel, I love to spent some quality time alone. Being a third wheel on your friend's hot date is never fun. It can make you feel left out and lonely even when you're close friends with the couple. Here's how you can tactfully avoid getting stuck in these situations, so that you can avoidbeing a third wheel. Decline the invitation if one of your friends asks you to come over for dinner or go to the movieswith her and her boyfriend. Nicely explain to her that while you love hanging out with them, you'd rather let them go out and spend some quality time alone. Make plans with your singlefriends instead of agreeing to be the third wheel on the date. If you don...

How Smart Is Your Right Foot?

How Smart Is Your Right Foot? Trust me try this, it takes only a few seconds. This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And, you will keep trying it at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot. But you can't!!! >>While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it. >>Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.. Your foot will change direction!!! I told you so.. And there is nothing you can do about it.

Fight for Accomodation

Pune is turned out to be a big education hub in India, also many students came here every year for higher education and settle here. Now the number of students and bachelors increasing every year tremendously. As they are a bit carefree at this age and loves to enjoy life. But this is somewhat which many of the puneities dislikes. When a person visit a place, the first thing he/she looks for is the accomodation. But due to some reasons most of the housing societies shuts their doors for these bachelors. The picture is published in a local daily, a hoading printed with a slogan " Students and batchelors not allowed to hire flats in the Society." with an article pointing out the key features why the puneities dont' want to rent their houses to the bachelors. But theri are many people who thinks that they must help out these youngsters and co-operate with them. I also feel that, they must be helped as they come here in pune so far from their homes to make a career. And in a...

Sleep to remember those special moments

When I was a kid my parents used to told me to sleep less and study more. But I can afford to study, as I love to sleep. When I was in 12th standard, I used to sleep around ten hours in exmas. And I do feel comfortable when I wake up, I guess sleeping more helps me more in memorising things much better. Now, yesterday when I was reading a article on sleep, I realise that I am right as sleeping helps in remebering things much better. Sleep plays a key role in determining what we remeber and forget by helping the brain preserves memories that evoke the greatest emotional resonance while filtering out neutral details. The study also says that "In order to preserve what it deems most important, the brain makes a tradeoff, strengthening the memory's emotional core and obscuring its neutral background." So sleeping more not only helps in memorising things but also helps in forgeting bad memories, and also its very beneficial for the health too. But its also true that anything ...

Firewalls

Firewalls are important, especially when using a peer-to-peer program like BearFlix, and although being behind a firewall doesn't prevent you from sharing to everyone (you can still upload files to some people), firewalls can still be a hindrance for you and other users. It is almost impossible to establish a direct connection with another firewalled computer. Consequently, firewalled users will be unable to download files from you, and you'll be unable to download files from other firewalled users. You will see their files as "Unreachable" when you're firewalled, and that is exactly how other firewalled users see your files. Therefore, if at all possible, it is important to get rid of your firewalled status for sharing purposes.

Indecent Proposals

Just sample this post on a social networking site, "we are a couple from Chennai 50/40. Seeking decent Brahmin couples for long term friendship. sun and cam. Tamil speaking preffered." Confused? Have a look at the following message posted on another popular site, " I am 33 and want couples over the age 45 to be friend. I often come Chennai. I have no reservations in being a passive partner. Looking for a decent, couple from a middle-income group who's like to try something different." It seemed the way to bringing about a little fun to one's marital life while not having a secretive axtra-marital affair.I f you thought Chennai with its supposedly conservative and traditional values, is untouched by the concept of spouse swapping, take a peek into sites such as location.in (a classifieds site where you can post your advertisements about your needs for friendship) and coupleswingers.com which could be termed as a ' partner-swap-ping' website. The tren...

Car-skating Arab boys' new craze

Youngsters in Saudi Arabia have a new game. It doesn't seem to matter to that this could be very, very dangerous. An incredible video on YouTube shows what has become the latest dangerous craze to hit Saudi Arabia - 'Skating out of car doors'.This is also reported by Telegraph that, the clip which has been viewed by more than 1.1 million times on YouTbe, appears to be genuine. Three boys lean out of the doors of a speeding car, appearing to ' skate' along the tarmac on their sandals on a busy Saudi Arabian Road. The boys appear oblivious to the dangers of their actions. The person, who posted the video on YouTube, claimed it took place on the Riyadh ring road, and said that a friend gave him the clip. A dangerous racing game known as 'drifting' has long been popular in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states.Drivers accelerate to high speeds before pulling up the handbrake, allowing them to slide along on their back wheels. oops the video is no longer available....

Answer Sheet

Looking at this picture, one cansay that a student can think beyond anything. Not everyone is capable on answering every question the same way he answered.

India could be four degrees hotter in 40 years

Only four degrees, who cares. yeah who cares, this is the only reason behind this. But a four-degree rise in temperature for India would affect life on flaura and fauna. There is a need to prepare for at least four-degree rise in temperature over pre-industrial levels by 2050. Only a few days ago came this warning from Bob Watson, Defra ( Dept. of Environment, Food and Rural Affiars) chief. The scientist taking appropriate steps to reduce this increase in temperature to minimise risks. Even Indian scientists engaged in talking of a four-degree temperature rise over current levels in India after 2050. This would result in other things, that the rainfall pattern in the subcontinent would become heavier but less regular. And this would surely distrupt agriculture and living. Not only this, but increase in temperature would adversely impact power, water resources and biodiversity. But the people living in the Himalayan footpills and in coastal areas are most affected becuase of this, as t...

An Internet meeting

As most of the people are addicted to social networking sites and chatting, so as I am. I love to spent most of my time on my PC. When I heard about a social networking site called orkut, one of mine friend sent me a request to join that site. I joined in, an get famiiar with that. Soon I am so addicted to it. but because of orkut I met so many school friends. I used to spent hours on that site, I love to meet people and chat with them, long discussion, arbit issues, really crap. How I can do that, as I had to spent that much of my time on studies, since I am not here to chat, and waste my time in doing all this. But now I am so addicted to this, that I can't live without this. When I am online and chatting with some friend, I am totally lost, I even donot know where I am sitting, and what I have to do. Now after spending so many days on this site I met a girl named Kamini(name changed), and we used to chat for long long , very long hours. We spent almost every night in discussing ...

Lost world 'found' in Antarctica

An international team has found fossils of plants and animals in the mountains on the interior of Antarctica, which it believes became extinct due to an abrupt climate cooling of 8 degree Celsius in 200,000 years. In their study, the scientists have combined evidence from glaciers from the preserved ecology, volcanic ashes and modelling to reveal the full extent of the big freeze in part of the southernmost continent called the Dry Valleys. According to them, the lost world is an extremely rare find in the continent, one that also provides an insight into what could be there in a century or two as the planet warms, 'The Daily Telegraph' reported. Lead researcher Professor Adam Lewis of North Dakota State University said, "The discovery of lake deposits with perfectly preserved fossils of mosses, diatoms and minute crustacea called ostracods is particularly exciting. "They are the first to be found even though scientific expeditions have been visiting the Dry Valleys ...

India @ 61

The journey that began on 15th August, 1947 at the stroke of th midnight hour to make Mother India proud of her children who can stand tall on the gobal stage continues till date. Despite the turbulent circumstances leading to her birth, India has survived as the world's largest democracy with secular sredentilas intact. A secular, democratic India is the biggest achievement of our times. Despite being a kaleidoscope of contrasts, India has a unity in diversity which we are so proud of. India has a unity in diversity which we are so proud of. India has gone from strength to strength at every stage of post-Independence history. At the 61st year of India's Independence. we have every right to proud of what we have achived during the course of our journey, but at the same time it's also perfect time for some serious self-introspection.

Best Freinds: Guys and Girls

What you say, is this true. Can a guy be a best friend of a girl. Can they be their best friends. Looking at the Indian mindset, no, they can't, but looking at the west, yes they are. As Indians believe that a girl can't be a guys friend, if they share such relation then there must be something else between them rather than friendship. Is I am wrong, mey be but looking at the Indian Cinema and the small screen, I am right as in evry serial or a movie its always screened that if a girl and a guy are best friend of each other then the relation between them may turn out to be more than friendship at the end. At the end of the bollywood movies the actor and actress who are best freind of each other in the whole movie are turn out to be great lovers. May be this is because of our mind set. There was a movie named "De Taali", in which Ayesha Takia playing a role of a girl who is best friend of a guy. role played by Aftab Shivdasani, in the begining of the movie. And at the...

Every person is very curious about the bonding with their partner. Every person complains about some or the other thing, but what they have done to strengthen this bonding. Have you every look up the key points to effect this bonding. Just check out... Always make time to talk about your day. Talks Started.

My father is still serving in Indian Army as a soldier. I am not living with him from past four years, not even with any of our family members are with me from past four years. I just meet them once evry year for mere ten days vacation. As I am 23 now, my father, mother and other relatives are very eager to know what are my future plans about getting married. As most of the guys of my age in our village got married, some of them have kids too. As I completed my bachelors degree so my relatives are looking for a girl for me. But I am yet not ready to get married that soon. So I aksed my parents to wait for at least 2 more years, and till then I'll settle down to my work and take care of her very well. But this is the mindset of most of the Indian families as their children cross twenty and start working, so dont let them to free their wings and fly. My father is not ready to listen to me over this issue and only want to hear a positive answer from me. These vacation I went to meet my...

I Hate You

What you feel about these three words, this is the most painful thing to hear from your partner. As most of the girls are very keen to know about the things that thier partner hates most. So today I'll tell you about me, the things I dislike n worst part of mine. You wanted to know the worst about me, these are the things that I dint told to any one and hide them below the surface. So how I start of it? How do I explain who I am when I am not even sure of it myself? May be after this you hate me or may be you will understand. I will tell you everything. May be it will help you, but how I startbut I am sick of running, so here it is , what you are looking for. I hate you. Is it true? May be yes, but that's not true, but sometimes I think it is. I will not answer your phone call, even though I want to talk to you. I will not call you, even though it is all I want to do. I will not reach out to you, even though every part of me wants to. I will not hug you, I will not kiss you, lo...

If you’ve been wondering what makes someone good in bed, don’t hit the gym. As a bachelor, one is very eager to know about this, as what is the secret for making wonderful sex. One must know that only a great physique or knowledge of twenty different positions doesn’t make for wonderful sex. It might sound old-fashioned, but really knowing and liking your partner is crucial to the mercury rising in your bedroom. These are some common goof-ups people make during sex, and how to avoid them. It’s no secret that many people in the land of the Kamasutra are basically misinformed or under informed about sex. This is very common in most of the Indian families. But with the amount of information available on the net, you can easily educate yourself about how your partner’s body works and what is pleasurable. Afte...

Salute to Chinese Planning

There was an article published in the Sunday Times dated 17th august about the Chinese planning for the Beijing Olympics. The article states that the nation, China, become the serious Olympic competitor only in 1984 is now bidding to be number one. At this stage, Chinese already built a handy lead over the United States. There is a kind determination the Chinese eyes like never before, But now what the Games are being held at home, they have shown grit to focus on events, which have traditionally not been their stronghold. Or even if they are good at it, they been beaten before. And this works for them, as they not only done well in them but also achieved success in all these events. As the never-say-die spirit is clearly viewed when their gymnasts took on the US and beat them to the gold in both men's and women's events. This is the biggest news for the news channels and newspapers that day. Its also stated that when Beijing was awarded the Games seven years ago, one of the fi...

That's wht Indian boxers Jitender Kumar and Vijender Kumar did as they punched their way into the boxing quater-finals with resounding wins A day after Akhil Kumar's giant-killing act, the boxing ring in the Olympics here brought more good news for India today as another pugilist Jitender scripted a sensational all-the-way victory against Uzbekistan's Tulashboy Doniyorov in a bout marred by frayed tempers to move into the pre-quater final. Every Date is a Blind Date

In the film Bringing Down the House, Steve Martin plays a lawyer who meets a woman on an online dating site. After a few weeks of chatting, they decide to meet. Steve prepares everything for the occasion. When the woman arrives, she turns out to be a completely different person. She is nothing like the woman in the picture that was sent to him. That is the catch of the meeting someone on an online dating site. A picture and a profile can say one thing, but the person in general can be someone quite different. Though many people can go through a mistaken identity case, it may be a tough job keeping up a good profile. Some people feels it is now more difficult for a person to hide aspects of themselves on internet. There are so many ways of finding out about a person. Earlier people used to send you only a picture, but now you have web-cams and people can surely see the person they are chatting with. You also have voice chat and when you are having a spontaneous conversation; it would be ...

Fuel Speed Ahead

Remember that amazing device from back to future that converted garbage into fuel? That isn't as far-fetched anymore. With petrol prices at crippling highs and car sales still booming, everything from liquor and salt water to diapers and landfills are being used to generate alternative sources of power that run equipment, vehicles and buildings around the world. Wood Power : Wood would rarely be the fuel of choice for a car, but at least one person in the US has been burning wood as a fuel in his truck. One can't say for sure how the system works, whether it's dual fuel or the wood-burning supplies all the fuel the engine needs, but it doesn't appear to be a hoax and is certainly interesting.Evidently, during WWII, there was some experimenting with alternative fuels (due to shortages caused by the war), and one of the results was the wood burning automobile. One can't comment on emissions and the practise would not be the choiceof people concerned about air quality. ...

Page Ranking Concept

Friends recently I apeared for a exam on information retrieval that contains a unit on pageranking. And many bloggers are interested in knowing thier page rank. How much popular istheir blog or site over the net.Do anyone think of this that how this is calculated by google. Let me tell you some think about this.I dont know about this topic much butas far as our books tell me I get to know some things and I am today going to share themwith you all. Firstly what if some page rank is high,it means if your page rank is high and its somehowrelated to some users query, then results displyed to him contains the your page at the topslot if none of the other page retreived have highr page rank than yours and followed byothers. If some page get good rank it is displayed on the first results of user queries, thismeans that page get higher probability of higher number of visitors per day.Might be their are more factors google considers but this page rank concept depends on twomajor factors(according to...
