Salute to Chinese Planning

There was an article published in the Sunday Times dated 17th august about the Chinese planning for the Beijing Olympics. The article states that the nation, China, become the serious Olympic competitor only in 1984 is now bidding to be number one. At this stage, Chinese already built a handy lead over the United States.

There is a kind determination the Chinese eyes like never before, But now what the Games are being held at home, they have shown grit to focus on events, which have traditionally not been their stronghold. Or even if they are good at it, they been beaten before. And this works for them, as they not only done well in them but also achieved success in all these events. As the never-say-die spirit is clearly viewed when their gymnasts took on the US and beat them to the gold in both men's and women's events. This is the biggest news for the news channels and newspapers that day.

Its also stated that when Beijing was awarded the Games seven years ago, one of the first things they did was to draw up the list of events, they had not won or were weak in. Then they worked on it, aspiring for higher levels of performance in them. Yhe strong events continued to be continued to be strong all around. Their aspiration is to be in contention at every sport at the Olympics.

Remember, they are also there in Hockey where India have missed out. That is how aspiration works.
