Job description
Introduction
As System Administrator - Support with our Web Solutions support team, you will work with world class teams delivering some of the most cutting-edge web and email solutions to millions of users worldwide. Your responsibility will be overseeing the effective delivery of the web and email hosting services, ensuring that any issues are identified and fixed in the least possible time.
Roles and Responsibilities
• You will be expected to investigate and resolve complex issues reported by our front line specialists, in coordination with our system admin and product engineering teams.
• You will have to develop scripts to automate routine testing and troubleshooting efforts, manage diverse tools and implement processes to ensure that issues do not repeat.
• From a strategic standpoint, you will participate in regular planning meetings with executive management and product engineering teams and present feedback from end-user experience, to enhance the product features and improve robustness of our services.
• Some of your other responsibilities will include - basic Windows and Linux server administration related tasks, tracking and implementing service level agreements, issue recording and review, compiling and conducting training sessions, and so forth
• You are acquainted with all, and have mastered most, of the following technologies -
DNS; FTP, HTTP, SMTP, POP, IMAP protocols; Windows, Linux Web Hosting; cPanel, Plesk platforms; Apache, IIS web servers; Proftpd, IIS FTP servers; MySQL, MS-SQL, MS Access databases; SSH, SSL; IIS SMTP, Sendmail, qmail, exim, postfix; ad infinitum.
